Wow have we been bustling this holiday season. With members shipping sampler packs and subscriptions to family and friends, this December looks to be our busiest in many years.
Remember, even as you receive this shipment there is still time to send a last minute Virginia wine gift. Just visit us online or call Xen or Holly in the office and we will help you share the merriment of the season.
Many folks will have friends and family come and visit this holiday season. After a day or two, you may be thinking about new places to share with your guests. Consider visiting a Virginia winery things have calmed down in the production area and the wines are all put to bed.
Most vineyards are not yet pruning (that will start in earnest in January) so you may find the owner, winemaker and vineyard manager in the tasting room (especially when they wear all three hats). Please call first as many wineries will be open this holiday, some will take much needed time off.
In this time for counting our blessings, all of us at the Virginia Wine Club consider you, our members, to be a blessing. We are a small family owned company that works hard to bring you the best of Virginia wine every month.
More specifically, I want to thank you for reading the VWJ. I also want to thank the many members who have commented about the Journal and how we might continue to improve our communications.
We do have big plans for the month’s ahead. Just as the buds on the vine already contain the fruit of the next vintage, with proper tending you will see many new ideas in the year ahead.
As always, thank you for including me along your Virginia wine Journey.
All of us at The Virginia Wine Club wish you and yours a blessed holiday season and a Happy New Year!
