No one can ever say Cooper Vineyards does not do things halfway. When they set out to build an energy efficient tasting room, they set their sites high, and bit did they attain them. Last April, with the help of Virginia’s First Lady Maureen McDonald, Cooper opened the first LEED platinum certified tasting room on the east coast, LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, validates the construction of a green building and is broken into a four-tier award classification system ranging from Certified to Platinum, the highest level of certification.
The wines of Cooper Vineyards contain the same level of attention to detail as the construction requirements for Platinum LEED certification. Offering a wide array of flavor profiles it would be difficult for even the most discriminating buyer not to find something that tickled their fancy.
